This beautiful alpine-style tomme is a true celebration of traditional French mountain cheesemaking. Tomme du Châtelard is rustic, honest and deeply comforting — the kind of cheese that instantly transports you to a chalet in the Alps.

Crafted by Fromagerie Verdannet, this semi-firm tomme has a natural rind and a supple, slightly elastic pâte. The flavour is beautifully balanced — gentle nuttiness, warm buttery notes and a subtle savoury depth that lingers without overpowering. It’s approachable, yet complex enough to keep cheese lovers intrigued.
